Well 2009 has been a great year so far having come back from Brazil with our large outreach in 21 cities in just over a month. It was a great month of events with Gospel Explosion, an organisation in Brazil which organised a 21 city campaign and had five to eight speakers with each evangelist rotating. For example, I would only be in one city one night or a maximum of two but each city had five meetings a week with the speakers rotating between towns. The campaign got off to great start when, on the 5th night in a city in the middle of my preaching, a young guy got up from his wheelchair and started walking. He heard me preach, "First faith, first believe, then the miracles will follow." Well he believed, stood up and God healed him.
I eemed to spend my life on the bus traveling from city to city while in Brazil. I started out in the south of the country and ended up in the Amazon visiting 21 Cities on the way. Each place had a unique story to tell but I would run out of space if I was to write it all here. People from the National Parliament of Brazil attending the meetings and in many cities the Mayor would come and welcome me to his city.
In each city many would come to the Lord. Initially you could see hatred, sadness, addiction, and much more in their faces. "Free! Free! Free!" you would hear, as God set them free from the enemy and brought them into the Kingdom of Light. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed and words could not express what you could see in their faces at what God had done in their lives. It is so awesome to see a person become free and God fill them with His grace; night after night I would see this.
There were many physical miracles, from people getting out of wheelchairs, the blind seeing - the list goes on and on. In many cities people did not believe, but when they started to hear of the miracles they began to wonder what was happening. In one town it was estimated over 100 people were healed in a single night and this was reported by the media. As a result I received an invitation from a city official to go and pray for everyone in the hospital-a first for me.
The media - newspapers, radio and TV, covered many of the cities we visited. In one city God really moved and many things happened that night. After the meeting a TV reporter wanted to ask me some questions. The first was, "How can you explain what happened here tonight?" I replied, "In the natural world, you can't. But God was here and the real world is the spiritual one where there are no limits." The reporter could not contain herself or handle my presence and had to leave as she did not want people to see her cry.
The Power of God! There is nothing like it!
